Job summary
Following the internal promotion of a staff member, we are seeking an experienced Audio typist and administrator to join our friendly, busy, patient-centred practice.
Our practice is situated in the Roath area of Cardiff mainly covering the local communities of Roath, Adamsdown, Splott and Tremorfa.
Main duties of the job:
- Typing referrals.
- Blood results tasks that accumulate from them and giving them out should patients call, calling hospitals with queries.
- Accept deductions.
- Getting files and printing outgoing files to send to shared care.
- Emailing immunisations.
- Basic scanning.
- Sending invoices and completed reports.
- Solicitors’ notes- redacting.
- Read coding
- Summarising
- Other administrative tasks as appropriate and required to assist the smooth running of the surgery.
Working hour requirements are (Total of 25 hours per week):
- Monday- 10am - 3pm.
- Tuesday- 10am - 3pm.
- Wednesday- 1pm-6pm.
- Thursday- 10am - 3pm.
- Friday- 10am - 3pm.
Certain flexibility can be considered.

Our team comprises of 4 GP partners, 2 salaried GPs, 2 practice nurses, a healthcare assistant and an excellent administrative and management team.

Essential
- GCSE or equivalent grade A to C in English and Maths.
- Audio typing
