GP Partner
A rare and exciting opportunity has become available at Llandaff North Medical Centre, for a 3-day (5 session) GP partner to join our practice, due to the relocation abroad of the current post-holder.
Dr Maizey and Dr Angilley are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated experienced GP to join their well-organised, friendly training practice, committed to the provision of high-quality health care to the locality, alongside the continued development of the practice team. Hard work is inevitable in primary care but maintenance of a healthy work-life balance is very important to us and team-work is key. The practice prides itself on the provision of high-quality GP training and both current partners are experienced trainers. The successful candidate can expect to join an active, efficient and forward-thinking partnership fostering an equitable and supportive environment to enable the provision of high-quality patient care to suit the needs of the locality.
The practice area is part of the Cardiff West Cluster and primarily serves the community in Llandaff North, Gabalfa and Whitchurch, with some wider patients in the Fairwater, Danescourt and Llandaff area, providing a varied, rewarding and interesting patient caseload.
- c6500 patients and stable list size
- Currently 2 partners, 4 salaried GP’s (1 in a temporary post), 2 GP registrars, 2 nurses, 1 HCA and an excellent administration team.
- Daily morning coffee meeting of the clinical team, alongside structured rotational clinical meetings for training and multi-disciplinary discussion.
- Low home visit rate, shared equitably across the team, with a large care home managed through a structured weekly ward round
- Consistent high QAIF and Access achievements
- Modern purpose-built well-maintained premises with private parking, situated on the Llandaff North high street
- Vision clinical system
- Training practice for GP registrars (usually 1-2 registrars ST1-3)
- Active involvement in West Cardiff Cluster Network

- Access to a cluster pharmacist and primary care-based physiotherapist
- Easy access to the M4, local railway station and the city centre
- Student intake from Cardiff Metropolitan University.
Candidates must be fully registered with the GMC and be listed on the Cardiff & Vale UHB performers list for GMS.
